The Video Game Preservation Museum was founded in the summer of 2022, with the goal to preserve rare and obscure hardware in addition to its accompanying software as well. With a sizable collection that spans from development hardware to unreleased game console prototypes and even rare limited edition consoles, we are proud to say that we’ve saved many from landfills / being scrapped for their minerals or components.
Video games, much like any other medium, are incredibly human in nature, and each device, game, operating system, tells a story about its developers that we try to uncover from the shadows of an industry that often forgets the people who make it tick. (The man in
