The two-day workshop is a milestone in EFGAMP’s broad-based initiative to develop a cataloging schema for computer games. Thanks to the collaboration with the EU research project GRADE (Grassroots of Digital Europe), contributions from future users of the schema will be collected. The sessions will be organized by GRADE and EFGAMP members and Winfried Bergmeyer of the International Computer Game Collection, whose database is dedicated to the collection of computer games. Other contributions will come from the fields of creative computing as well as from the established cultural heritage sector. Filipe Cruz and Gleb J. Albert will give an insight into two of the largest archives in the demoscene (scene.org and demozoo.org) and CIDOC board member Frank von Hagel will introduce CIDOC CRM.

The workshop is hosted by the Institute for Museums Research, which is part of the Stiftung Preußischer Kulturbesitz and is responsible for all digital matters of the Prussian Cultural Heritage Foundation, among other things.
